Introducing our newest member

A warm welcome to Ella Plummans Pouton – the newest member of the biodynamos.

Ella is starting her PhD in February 2020 in the School of Ecosystem and Forest Sciences.

She will be working on the resilience of fire-prone heathlands to changes in fire regimes and climate.

Ella was also recently awarded a prestigious Victorian Government Hamer Scholarship, and will be spending six months of this year living and studying in Chengdu, China.

Ella has taught environmental politics and international relations, worked as an evaluator of government programs in natural resource management, climate change and emergency management, and has completed masters-level research on eucalypt ecology and growth.

We are thrilled to have Ella joining the team!
